Sonja Rohde

Sonja Rohde’s background in design and art therapy plays an important role in her work. Fascinated by ornament and patterns and deeply curious about human connection she explores these themes in poetic images and bold colors. Sonja Rohde was born in Radolfzell, Germany. She studied at Polimoda, Florence, Italy for one year before moving to New York City. Sonja received a B.F.A. from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and a M.A. from New York University. She has participated in group and solo exhibitions in New York City, Washington DC and L.A. Sonja is an artist, designer and art therapist living and working in New York City.
